Oh man, I am so sad to hear that Alex Chilton died in New Orleans yesterday. Immortalized by the Replacements, leader of influential band Big Star, teen singer for the Box Tops, Chilton was sked to perform at SXSW this weekend. Sigh. Cuing up “September Gurls.” Or maybe this one is a little more fitting.
