How can we keep arts education and creative learning a vital element in the lives of our youth, especially children in urban neighborhoods with limited access to cultural opportunities? Gigi Antoni, president and CEO of Big Thought, and Daniel Windham, Director of Arts for The Wallace Foundation, discuss the topic during a recent episode of Think. The Wallace Foundation recently made a $4.3 million donation earmarked for after-school arts programs at Charles Rice Learning Center in Dallas. You can read more about the partnership between the foundation, the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, Big Thought and the Dallas Independent School District on the Art&Seek blog.
Think airs Monday through Thursday at noon on KERA (90.1 FM).
