“The Artistic Furniture of Charles Rohlfs” will be on display at the Dallas Museum of Art through Jan. 3. The show moves on to the Carnegie Museum of Art after that, though one of the pieces will eventually find its way back to the DMA.
Rohlfs’ Corner Chair has been given to the museum by the American Decorative Art 1900 Foundation in honor of Joseph Cunningham, who curated the show. That doubles the number of Rohlfs pieces in the museum’s collection, as Corner Chair will join the furnituremaker’s Rotating Desk, which is also part of the touring show.
