The O's in the KXT studio with Gini.

Maybe you’ve heard that KERA is launching KXT 91.7 on Monday. Ahem.

Well, today some fine members of the media are here visiting KXT’s shiny sparkly studio, and listening to Gini Mascorro and Joe Kozera punch up a few tunes and get comfy behind their new board. And we have special guests making beautiful music upstairs right now: The O’s. The Dallas duo is recording an interview with Gini and a performance that will air on KXT Tuesday morning.

Listen Monday at 7 for the station’s first song. And check out other North Texas talent visiting the studio during the station’s first two weeks. Here’s a couple more pix from this afternoon:

Some of my favorite people on earth are driving this KXT bus. So I am wildly happy for them and us about the new Joe and Gini magical mystery tours ahead.

I do however feel compelled to mention that whoever took that photo of Jeff is using a very odd lens indeed. Since it makes Wittington look like Jiminy Cricket whereas in real life Anything You Ever Wanted to Know host and THINK’s senior producer Jeff looks like an FBI agent …who just found the missing piece of evidence to solve a cold case but has yet to reveal it to anyone….. at Happy Hour.
