Exclusive Video: Wyly Co-Designer Joshua Prince-Ramus

by Jerome Weeks 23 Oct 2009 6:39 AM

Architect Joshua Prince-Ramus met with the media and the public last week — and then answered our questions about why the Wyly Theatre’s interior has only one bright color, how “low-tech” the Wyly actually is and what happened to his relationship with his mentor, Rem Koolhaas.

CTA TBD

Today, we begin our series of interviews with the four architects who designed the Wyly Theatre and the Winspear Opera House. First up is Joshua Prince-Ramus, who co-designed the Wyly Theatre. Next week: Prince-Ramus’ former mentor Rem Koolhaas on Dallas architecture (“very bland”) and the courage of Dallas donors in building the Wyly, plus Norman Foster and Spencer de Grey on the Winspear.
