PAC It Up: What happened yesterday at the Performing Arts Center? Well, it was media day at both buildings and opening night at the Winspear. Which means link-o-rama today. There’s Jerome’s report on starchitects Joshua Prince-Ramus (most steely-eyed), Norman Foster (most dapper, in purple and green), Spencer de Gray (most congenial) and Rem Koolhaas (most unpredictable – could snap, could say something brilliant).   Frontburner shares these pretty pictures. The Dallas Observer takes a walk. And here’s Greg Brown from the Dallas Center for Architecture on Rem Koolhaas’s public forum (Foster and Prince-Ramus are up today). Olin Chism finds the hall great for singers, but wishes there were seat-back translators a la the Met in NYC.  Scott Cantrell from The Morning News sat in every corner of the Winspear during rehearsal Wednesday and attended the opening Thursday night. He gives the performances, and especially, the sound and acoustics high praise. Me, I’m still reeling from the Morphoses dance premiere  last night. Men in blue tutus. The can-can. And, winning my vote for best historic souvenir, a cow on rollerskates.  Now that’s what I call a number!
