The Lone Star International Film Festival announced its first film today, Serious Moonlight. Here’s the description from the festival:
After arriving at her country home for a romantic weekend getaway, things don’t go exactly as planned for high-powered Manhattan lawyer Louise (Meg Ryan): Her husband of 13 years, Ian (Timothy Hutton), tells her he’s leaving her for a younger woman (Kristen Bell). Soon Ian finds himself held captive by an oddly cool Louise, who explains that she won’t release him until he commits to working on their marriage.
Written by playwright Adrienne Shelley (The Waitress) who was tragically murdered before she could see the film brought to life by her good friend Cheryl Hines and husband Andy Ostroy, Serious Moonlight premiered at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival and is the opening night selection for the 2009 Austin Film Festival.
The festival runs Nov. 11-15 in Fort Worth
