Our tour of the inside of the Wyly Theatre for Think TV was broadcast and put up online Friday. It includes never-before-seen footage of the Wyly’s touted “flexible” seating and staging configuration — plus interviews with Kevin Moriarty, artistic director of the Dallas Theater Center, and Benton Delinger, project manager for Theatre Projects Consultants, the firm that has overseen the Wyly’s development as a theater.
But if you saw the Think TV video, you might not have seen the two additional web-exclusive videos we added later. These feature more from Delinger on the Wyly’s unusual structure and a little-known element in the basement of the Wyly. It’s not a new phenomenon. In fact, most people don’t realize that the same thing goes on in other major-building basements in downtown, notably the underground Arts District parking garage.
