Congratulations to Neff Conner of Bedford, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest.

CTA TBD

Congratulations to Neff Conner of Bedford, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest. He follows last week’s winner, Leigh Ann Field.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took previous to the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves another facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Monday to Sunday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Monday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Wednesday.

Now, here’s more from Neff

Neff Conner

Title of photo: Traveling Man: “Walking Tall”

Equipment: Canon PowerShot SD 750, PS3

Tell us more about your photo: I saw an article on the Observer Web site about the artists and the completion of their Traveling Man installations. I went down there after I left work on 09/02/09 and took some shots. I liked this particular angle the best, so I made some adjustments in PhotoShop and placed it in my Flickr stream. This is not my usual subject matter – my Flickr Stream is dominated by concert photos – but I am really starting to enjoy taking pictures of stationary objects that we walk or drive by every day, but don’t necessarily pay much attention to. I’m especially interested in capturing unique perspectives and unexpected symmetry in architectural lines.
