Mr. Teeny, looking guilty

It’s rare we blog about news that  has no connection to North Texas arts.

Here goes: a monkey has been caught on tape  stealing plants and small statues from a local store.

The owner isn’t pressing charges, because she thinks it’s funny. So do I. But the monkey was seen handing the items over a fence — to a human (who, yes, may well fence the stolen items).  Organ grinder and his pet by day, burglars by night? Or perhaps a band of international, trained monkey thieves living anonymously in a Richardson ranch house? Will monkey crime go unchecked? Is the monkey stealing house plants and knickknacks or working on his own extensive landscaping project? Should we chain down our patio furniture and barbecue grills?

Terribly unsatisfying not to know the rest of the story.

Tenuous link to what we do here:  This could be the most likely North Texas video to go viral.  If only you could see the monkey. Feels like watching “evidence” of Bigfoot.
