Word comes this morning that Paul McCartney will perform on Aug. 19 at the new Cowboys Stadium. The concert is McCartney’s only Texas stop on his current tour and his first since he played the AAC in 2005. Tickets go on sale on July 20.
If anyone out there has seen him live solo, feel free to weigh in on if this is something to check out. I think for a lot of people, myself included, the main draw is just to be able to say you saw one of The Beatles in person. On the one hand, I can see how that would be a thrill. On the other, I think we’ve all seen that never-ending, concert-closing version of “Let it Be” plenty of times. Is that worth fighting through that Cowboys Stadium traffic? I dunno.
Thoughts?
