Art&Seek’s Holly Fetter recently filmed dancer Maeve Drablos for this Artist Studio Tour Video. She passes along these thoughts about the shoot:
When I asked Maeve Drablos what time I should come to her studio to film, she told me that anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. would be fine. Now, I don’t know about you, but seven hours of exercise in one day sounds pretty hellish to me. But for Maeve, it’s no big deal. She and her fellow dancers were busy training for their national dance competition in Las Vegas, but she didn’t mind stepping aside for a few minutes to perform her dance inspired by “The Last Day of Our Acquaintance” by Sinéad O’Connor. After four years at the Hockaday School, the 17-year-old will attend Princeton University in the fall, where she hopes to minor in dance.
