On Saturday night, From Russia With Love will kick off the “Shaken, Not Stirred: Movies and Martinis with Bond … James Bond” series at the Museum of Nature and Science. The series is connected to the museum’s The Science of Spying exhibit currently on display.
And yours truly will serve as host for the night (and Bond or no Bond, there’s no way I’m wearing a tux in this heat.) Doors open at 6:30, early enough for you to grab a martini and participate in our quick Bond trivia contest. I might have a drink ticket or two for the winners. The movie rolls at 7:30, and afterward we’ll have a quick discussion about the film specifically and Bond in general.
Tickets are $6, but KERA members can show their membership cards and get in for the Museum of Nature and Science member price of $5. And the first three people who e-mail me ([email protected]) I will get on the guest list to get in free.
The series continues on July 25 with Live and Let Die and Aug. 22 with Casino Royale. But I say you come out on Saturday and watch the movie that really helped set the foundation for those Bond films to come.
