Julie Hwang from the Asian Film Festival of Dallas asked me to pass along news about how to score discount passes for this year’s fest. If you’ve never attended AFFD, it’s one of the best run, hippest festivals in town. Look for some blog posts from Julie closer to the festival, but until then, she says:

Friday will be the last day for Early Bird Discount V.I.P. passes to the 8th Annual Asian Film Festival of Dallas. The AFFD V.I.P. pass gets you priority access to all screenings and events during the weeklong festival, plus a V.I.P. goodie bag. Buy a pass now for $85 ($65 for AFFD members). The price will go up to $125 after 10 p.m. Friday.
We’ve posted a preview of our schedule postcard on our Web site listing all the films we’ll be showing. Full film information, as well as online ticket sales, will be going up early next week.
