Here is Saturday’s schedule for the finals of the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Concerto performances will be with conductor James Conlon and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. All performances are in Bass Hall, Fourth and Commerce in downtown Fort Worth.
Matinee Session
1:30 p.m.: Haochen Zhang of China will play Brahms’ Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel and Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit.
2:45 p.m.: Yeol Eum Son of South Korea will play Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
3:45 p.m.: Nobuyuki Tsujii of Japan will play Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
Evening Session
7:30 p.m.: Di Wu of China will play Bach’s Toccata in F-sharp major, Schoenberg’s Klavierstücke, Opus 11, and Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit.
8:45 p.m.: Evgeni Bozhanov of Bulgaria will play Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
9:45 p.m.: Mariangela Vacatello of Italy will play Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3.
