As Angus Wynne reports in the comments to our report on Texas House Bill 2649 — the legislation that would basically require the licensing of lighting designers as electricians, architects or interior designers — the troubling amendment to the bill (Sec. 1001.3011) has been removed. After hundreds of calls in protest were received, a conference committe stripped out the section.
