Here is Saturday’s schedule of semifinal performances in the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. All sessions are in Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Commerce in downtown Fort Worth.
Matinee Session
1:30 pm.: Ran Dank of Israel will play Bach’s Partita No. 4 in D, Bates’ White Lies for Lomax and Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 6 in A.
2:45 p.m.: Mariangela Vacatello of Italy and the Takács Quartet will play Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major.
3:40 p.m.: Eduard Kunz of Russia will play Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata, Rachmaninoff’s Moments musicaux and Bates’ White Lies for Lomax.
Evening Session
7:30 p.m.: Evgeni Bozhanov of Bulgaria and the Takács Quartet will play Franck’s Piano Quintet in F minor.
8:25 p.m.: Di Wu of China will play Clara Schumann’s Mazurka from Soirées musicales, Schumann’s Davidsbündlertänze, Opus 6, Medtner’s Fairy Tales, Opus 20, Hagen’s Suite for Piano and Moszkowski’s Caprice Espagnol, Opus 37.
9:40 p.m.: Andrea Lam of Australia and the Takács Quartet will play Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A major.
