Here is Friday’s schedule of semifinal performances in the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. All sessions are in Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Commerce in downtown Fort Worth.
Matinee Session
1:30 pm.: Haochen Zhang of China will play Chopin’s 24 Preludes, Opus 28, Bates’ White Lies for Lomax and Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody.
2:45 p.m.: Nobuyuki Tsujii of Japan and the Takács Quartet will play Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major.
3:40 p.m.: Kyu Yeon Kim of South Korea will play Beethoven’s Sonata in A major, Opus 101, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Hagen’s Suite for Piano.
Evening Session
7:30 p.m.: Michail Lifits of Germany and the Takács Quartet will play Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major.
8:25 p.m.: Yeol Eum Son of South Korea will play six Debussy Preludes, Book I, Godowsky’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes from “Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss II, Bates’ White Lies for Lomax and Barber’s Sonata for Piano.
9:40 p.m.: Alessandro Deljavan and the Takács Quartet will play Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F minor.
