Here is Thursday’s schedule of semifinal performances in the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. All sessions are in Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Commerce in downtown Fort Worth.
Matinee Session
1:30 pm.: Mariangela Vacatello of Italy will play Liszt’s Sonata in B minor, Hagen’s Suite for Piano, Scriabin’s Nocturne for the Left Hand, Opus 9, No. 2, and Scriabin’s Sonata No. 3 in F-sharp minor.
2:45 p.m.: Ran Dank of Israel and the Takács Quartet will play Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F minor.
3:40 p.m.: Evgeni Bozhanov of Bulgaria will play Beethoven’s Sonata in E-flat, Opus 31, No. 3, Schubert’s Sonata in B-flat, D. 960, and Bates’ White Lies for Lomax.
Evening Session
7:30 p.m.: Eduard Kunz of Russia and the Takács Quartet will play Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A major.
8:25 p.m.: Andrea Lam of Australia will play Haydn’s Sonata in C, Hob. XVI:50, Brahms’ Klavierstücke, Opus 118, Stravinsky’s Four Etudes, Opus 7, Bates’ White Lies for Lomax and Ginastera’s Suite de danzas Criollas.
9:40 p.m.: Di Wu of China and the Takács Quartet will play Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A major.
