Here is Saturday’s schedule for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. All performances are in Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Commerce in downtown Fort Worth.
Matinee Session
1 p.m.: Soyeon Lee of Korea will play Albeniz’ Iberia, Book I, and Schumann’s Carnaval.
2:05 p.m.: Di Wu of China will play Haydn’s Sonata in C, Hob. XVI:48, Ravel’s Miroirs and the Gounod/Liszt Faust Waltz.
3:10 p.m.: Vassilis Varvaresos of Greece will play Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Carter’s Catenaires and Liszt’s Sonata in B minor.
Evening Session
7:30 p.m.: Nobuyuki Tsujii of Japan will play Twelve Etudes, Opus 10, by Chopin, Debussy’s Images, Book I, and Liszt’s La Campanella.
8:35 p.m.: Naomi Kudo of the United States and Japan will play Vine’s Piano Sonata No. 1, “Triana” from Albeniz’ Iberia and Chopin’s Sonata No. 3 in B minor.
9:40 p.m.: Zhang Zuo of China will play Haydn’s Sonata in G, Hob. XVI:40, Schumann’s Variations on the Name “Abegg,” Liszt’s Transcendental Etude No. 5, Chopin’s Etude No. 7, Opus 10, Stravinsky’s Etude No. 4, Opus 7, and Liszt’s Sonata in B minor.
