by Stephen Becker 15 May 2009 6:56 AM

If you missed the short films made by North Texas high school students when they played at last month’s AFI Dallas International Film Festival, we’ve combed the Internet and tracked down a lot of them. And it was worth the effort. We think you, too, will be amazed by these talented young filmmakers.

And it was worth the effort.  We think you, too, will be amazed by these talented young filmmakers. If you know where we can find a student short that played at AFI Dallas this year that we’re missing, shoot us an e-mail ([email protected]) and we’ll add it here.

  • Fun videos. I note that Art and Seek is discovering a lot of local talent. Surely there is enough for an hour weekly show to spotlight all types of local arts. Maybe time for a weekly arts sampler show.

  • I loved Grace and Holly’s documentary about Fred. It was fun to see him at 16, when this was made, especially this week, when he finally graduates from High School. That’s a fun film about the marvelous Sara Jaffe, too.
