The Dallas Museum of Art announces a big boost in its efforts to conserve the American paintings in its collection with the establishment of the Graham Williford Foundation for American Art Endowment for Art Conservation. The endowment is seeded with a $100,000 gift from the Jean and Graham Devoe Williford Charitable Trust, with the money earmarked for the conservation of the museum’s American paintings and decorative arts prior to 1920.

The museum has several pieces on long-term loan from the late Graham Williford’s collection, and in 2006, it staged “There and Back Again: Selections from the Graham D. Williford Collection of American Art.”
