Before the current Dallas Theater Center acting company, there was the Adrian Hall-Ken Bryant acting company in the late ’80s-early ’90s. And one of the leading members of that troupe was Martin Rayner. He’s currently off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters in the American debut of Frank McGuiness’ play, Gates of Gold.
And Jason Zinoman in the New York Times just gave him a gold-plated review for his performance as one-half of the gay couple that founded Dublin’s Gate Theater: “In a tender, theatrical performance, Mr. Rayner runs away with the play, and most audiences will happily cheer him along.”
