Artists who like money now have until March 13 to submit an application package for the Dallas Museum of Art’s annual Awards to Artists. There are three separate awards with differing age and residency requirements, but each award can have multiple recipients (and usually do). Not only will you, Winning Artist, receive money, but the DMA will hold a big awards ceremony not unlike the Oscars (there is some degree of hyperbole in this statement, but the winners do get to go up on the Horchow Auditorium stage to accept their awards and talk about their work).

Past winners include Margaret Meehan, Lawrence Lee, Ludwig Schwarz, David Bates and Trenton Doyle Hancock – not bad company to be in.
