If you missed out in getting tickets for UNT’s sold-out 10 Year Murchison Celebration featuring Dave Brubeck next Thursday, there’s good news. Brubeck and his quartet have decided to stick around for a second show on Friday (Feb. 27).

And if you are a student at UNT, you’re extra lucky: During the week of their visit, members of the quartet will provide instruction to students during master classes and special sessions on performance, improvisation, composition and more.

    God bless you for posting this news! I was one of the many folks who found out only recently about this great jazz legend’s visit to north Texas. Like many others, I was out of luck when it came to purchasing a ticket. I scoured all over! The usual places you would expect to find tickets if the official source was sold out were no help.

    If you love or even just like jazz, you MUST see Brubeck perform!!!
