This man named Dadara – I don’t know how that’s pronounced – will discuss the installation he took to Burning Man last year and which comes to Centraltrak in Exposition Park on Saturday evening.

It is an immersive installation predicated on the idea of border control, but the border you are crossing separates you from your own dreams (I think). You have to fill out papers to go through it while being yelled at by pink authoritarians (at right, from Burning Man).

I’ve been excited about this event for a while now, partially because I don’t fully understand what it is. Is it fine art? Theater? Kitsch? Maybe hearing the artist discuss it will clarify, but I’m open to leaving the Dallas Museum of Art tonight even more confused. I would LOVE that.
