The Chicago-based Mucca Pazza performed at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s “Modern ’til Midnight” in October, and the MAM just posted this video on their blog.
A marching band with electric instruments (those are the musicians with loudspeakers duct-taped to their heads and amplifiers on their backs), a performance that degenerates into chaos (and then a conga number), a tuba player-conductor and a guy shredding on what looks like a mandolin: Mucca Pazza lives up to their self-description as “circus punk.” And their name as well, Italian for “crazy cow.”
