Tip of the hat to Librado Lozano (in KERA promotions) for finding this clip on Vimeo:  A behind-the-scenes look at what Austin PBS station KLRU is doing to preserve original episodes of Austin City Limits for future generations.

Here, an engineer is transferring the pilot episode from 1976 (with Willie Nelson, natch) from a long-obsolete two-inch tape reel to a modern digital format.  It’s just a short, straightforward clip, but is a good example of what is being done to keep older forms of art and media from disappearing due to the ravages of time:
