Dallas author Will Clarke, author of the trippy comic-thriller, Lord Vishnu’s Love Handles, has a short story in the September issue of Oxford American, the issue with the “Best of the South” DVD included. Typically oddball, Clarke’s short story, “Redbird,” concerns the Pentecostal Home for Flying Children, filled with the many illegitimate offspring of a red-headed superhero who could fly. For those who don’t know, the Oxford American magazine is published just across the border at the University of Central Arkansas.
