Old 97’s frontman Stuart Ransom Miller II – a Dallas kid and Saint Marks alum who now calls New York’s Hudson River Valley home – spent a good chunk of time this morning with Terry Gross, talking about his music, childhood, spirituality and his harrowing experiences near Ground Zero on 9/11.

The interview is definitely worth the entirety of its 38-minute running time.  Miller comes across as approachable, affable and eager to talk (and sing) about his various influences Рand how his young children keep badgering him to play his Cramps CDs in the car.
