Old 97’s frontman Stuart Ransom Miller II – a Dallas kid and Saint Marks alum who now calls New York’s Hudson River Valley home – spent a good chunk of time this morning with Terry Gross, talking about his music, childhood, spirituality and his harrowing experiences near Ground Zero on 9/11.
The interview is definitely worth the entirety of its 38-minute running time. Miller comes across as approachable, affable and eager to talk (and sing) about his various influences – and how his young children keep badgering him to play his Cramps CDs in the car.
