If you’re looking for something creative and “cool” to do and want to get a head start on those Christmas gifts, head out to Purple Glaze, Dallas’ own paint-your-own-pottery studio. That’s exactly what I did this past weekend with my friends. It was fun and easy, and come this Friday, my dog will have a new dish! Purple Glaze has plenty of options, from dinnerware to decorative items. Simply choose a piece, pick your colors and paint your pottery; the staff at Purple Glaze will take care of the rest. With the freedom to paint or write whatever you want, hand-painted pottery is much more personal than a store-bought item. Purple Glaze is located on the southwest corner of Preston and NorthWest Highway. They are open Monday through Saturday from 11 am – 8 pm, and on Sunday 12 – 5 pm, and every Thursday night, two can paint for the price of one. Call 214.987.1440 for more information.
