Summer was off to a HOT start Sunday at the first Etsy Dallas B-B-Q. Etsy is an on-line market place for handmade goods, and Etsy Dallasis a co-op of more than 100 Dallas vendors that sell their wares on Etsy. The B-B-Q was a great event put on at the home of The Kessler Craftsman. Hundreds of people came out to shop and support Dallas DIYers. Free food and beverages, music by DJ Modchap and The Garrett Heinrichs Band, and even the great Make-n-Take tent kept patrons and participants happy and made for a successful show!

If you didn’t get to “make it,” shop on-line on the Etsy Dallas website anytime, and sign-up for their e-mail so you don’t miss their next event!

Next Up: DIY entertainment. The Dallas Video Association will be screening all entries for this past weekend’s 24 Hour Video Race this Tuesday, May 22nd through Thursday, May 24th at Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station. Show times start at 6:15. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. This is sure to be great entertainment!
