Back in the late ’80s, Texas-raised Michelle Shocked was one of the most promising pop-rock acts on the scene. Her classic debut, Short Sharp Shocked, filtered folk-based acoustic strumming through punk attitude for some of the catchiest songs of the period. She was destined to be a star until she married a pretentious idiot who derailed her career.
Michelle has continued to put out lots of music, some of it good. Pegasus News managing editor Catherine Cuellar catches up with Michelle in an interview, including word of a tour stop Thursday at Dallas’ House of Blues.
