Mayor Tom Leppert has appointed former Dallas City Councilmember Veletta Forsythe-Lill to the post of Arts District Coordinator. She will be the official liaison between the city of Dallas and “the many stakeholders in and around the city’s burgeoning Arts District.” She replaces Howard Hallum, who has held the voluntary position since 1997, and a lot happened under his watch, including the redevelopment of Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School, the creation of the Nasher Sculpture Center and the little ol’ Center for Performing Arts.
