We recently lost a movie venue on the Central Expressway corridor with the closing of the Loews Cityplace theatre.  Never fear…rescue has come.  Studio Movie Grill opens its newest location-on the east side of Central at Royal-to the public on Monday.  Last night, as workers scrambled to hang the outdoor marquee sign, the festivities kicked off with a benefit for the Dallas Children’s Theatre.  The theater was packed and all still had that great “new car” smell.    

In the weeks ahead, watch the calendar for events involving the Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet, Dallas Video Association and the annual return of the always-popular Academy Awards Party hosted by the USA Film Festival.  And as added incentive to check it out, click here for a free ticket.
