Gypsy Jazz fans have never had it so good, or so often.  For the fifth year in a row, Arts Fifth Avenue in Fort Worth brings you their annual Django Reinhardt FW Festival – three nights of film and exceptional live music in an intimate setting, the weekend of January 25th – 27th.  New on the schedule this year: workshops for those hoping to master Gypsy Jazz chords or the styles of Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.

The weekend’s other highlights are way too numerous to list here – but if you’ve never witnessed the wonder of the Texas Gypsies, Slim Richey’s Yo! Gadjo or Kim Platko, by all means reserve your seats tout suite at (817) 923-9500 or [email protected].

it would be great to hear from some of the attendees of the past 5 years as to the events at hand…how are they? Thumbs up?

    Answered my own question..
They are indeed playing on the 26th.
Found this video of them on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=549HbOCjULc
Definitely a thumbs up to Arts for this venue.JJ

This Django Festival at Arts Fifth Avenue has been our anniversary present to ourselves the past 2 years. Food, wine, and such wonderful musicianship will keep us coming back for years to come. From past experience, get there early to check out the films and close seating to the stage. This music is as much fun to watch as it is to hear. Happy 5th anniversary Arts…its our 12th 🙂

I ended up going to this amazing venue! I took my kids ages 7 and 11, we all had such a wonderful time. I am now planning to make it a neighborhood outing for next year. The music is uplifting and so well performed. Bring your friends, you won’t regret it!!
