In that vein, I want to mention things that may not get wide distribution, but may be of public interest. Below you’ll see a notice from Teatro Dallas announcing acting classes for beginners. So if you ever envisioned being on the stage, you might consider what artistic director Cora Cardona is offering:

Teatro Dallas Announces

Intensive Course- Acting for Beginners

Thursday and Friday December 6 and 7 from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 PM,

Saturday 8 form 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon and 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.

Taught by Cora Cardona- Artistic Director

The classes will consist of warm ups (yoga,) voice and movement applied to emotions and stage imagery. Exercises to develop the senses and imagination (through texts or imagery derived from certain exercises), improvisation, and the creation of scenes.

Students need to bring yoga mats or blankets and comfortable clothing (we work barefooted). Please call 214.689.6492. Leave your name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible. Limited capacity. Classes are conducted in English and Spanish.
