Power Properties

Power Properties is a unique collection of boutique apartments in Dallas looking for original art to display in its many courtyards. Artists of any background are invited to submit pieces for the $5,000 grand prize. The goal is to feature multimedia, contemporary and street art in the form of murals, paintings, and sculptures to compliment the modern feel of the courtyards. The artwork will need to be composed of appropriate materials for it to be displayed outdoors.

Artists will first need to submit a portfolio to be approved before they will be chosen to participate. Once selected, Power Properties will pay for all supplies necessary for the artists to complete their work and will provide artists with photographs and specifications of their work space. Artists willing to work on-site are preferred; however, all are welcome to apply. All work must be completed and submitted by the deadline on July 30. Upon submission, all art will belong to Power Properties.

In August, Power Properties will throw a party at a Swiss Avenue estate to feature all of the submissions. Artists will be invited to attend the party, discuss their work, and interact with guests and press. A third-party judge will select the winner of the contest. All of the works will remain on display in the courtyards along with each artist's name and contact information. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the artists.
