Dallas Chamber {Concert} Series
Dallas Chamber {Concert} Series is dedicated to bringing local musicians together for chamber music performances, offering concerts and educational outreach, and promoting music performance art.
Our VISION is to present great performances. Founded in 2010, Dallas Chamber {Concert} Series was created on the context of bringing Dallas area musicians together for the performance of chamber music works from the collections of traditional and modern classical composers.
We VALUE music artistry, collaboration, and providing concert programs to the community at little or no cost. Utilizing different instrument combinations, such as a clarinet quintet, or a string quartet, a wind octet, piano trio, brass quintet, or flute duo, our audience enjoys our unique concert programs and various instrumentations.
Our past concerts have included feature artist concerts, collaborations with Dallas area musicians: The 12th Street Clarinet Quartet, Rahni B. Kennedy (clarinet), Flutopia, The Salvation Army Brass Quintet, Sara Scurry (bassoon), Jo Zhou (piano), Richard Sears (bassoon), Meg Griffith, Gabriel Sanchez and Michael Schueurman (flute, clarinet & piano), and including premiere literature for the woodwind quintet as part of Madera Wind Quintet's 2011 Call for Scores culminating in a brilliant performance of works by Daniel Nass, Sarah Page Summar, Philip Wharton, Carl Schimmel, Peter Nickol, and Sean Friar.
