East Texas Symphony Orchestra

East Texas Symphony Orchestra, made up of professional musicians, produces a series of classical concerts each season. The Orchestra also produces a Young Peoples Series consisting of three school concerts for over 5000 school children in the East Texas area along with a family concert aimed at the younger child. The orchestra association is also involved in furthering music education by offering and funding various programs, including string instruction at the lower elementary level, side by side performances for the accomplished music student to perform along with the orchestra and offering master classes taught by some of the guest artists that perform at the concerts. The Orchestra has also been involved in the commissioning of several new works over the past four or five years.
