Sankofa of Addison is dedicated to creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the Golden Age, the period of time between the 80s and 90s, through food, music & spoken word. The beginning of this era is characterized by the best of Hip Hop from artist like LL Cool J and ending with Neo-Soul and spoken word from the likes of Erykah Badu, Taalam Acey and Jessica Care Moore.
