Big Rig Dance Collective
Like highways connect cities, Big Rig Dance Collective aims to connect diverse communities through accessible dance performances, community classes, and collaborative events. BRDC is directed by Whitney Boomer, Crysta Caulkins-Clouse, Amanda Jackson, and Lily Sloan and developed with many DFW area dance artists. While emphasizing collaboration as their primary method for creating innovative work, BRDC also promotes the development of each individual's artistic voice. They have recently completed guest artist residencies and teaching workshops at Tarrant County Community College, North Central Texas College, Richland College, Green Space Arts Collective, and Ryan High School. We have collaborated with artists such as Sarah Gamblin (Dance), John Osburn (Music), Impulse (Music), and Hentai Performing Orchestra (Music), and performed in concerts and festivals such as the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival, Big Range Dance Festival (Houston and Austin), Dance and the Child International, and DFW Arts Goggle.
