Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild is a group of classical music lovers who are dedicated to deepening their knowledge and appreciation of classical music. That is our bond. We are from all walks of life, know each other on a first name basis and greet one another at the Symphony, the Guild and other musical programs. Sharing the music we love with friends makes it a more meaningful experience. Our activities and gala dinner support the Performance Preludes free pre-concert lectures before every DSO concert.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild presents two series of events. Guild events are generally small and intimate in nature, with plenty of chances to meet and speak directly with the DSO's featured guest musicians, composers, and conductors.
The Luncheon programs are held at elegant clubs such as the Petroleum Club, the Dallas Country Club, and Lakewood Country Club. These programs always feature the interesting personalities behind Dallas Symphony Orchestra concerts and the fabulous fare that is the best Dallas can offer.
The Evening programs are held in some of the most beautiful private homes in Dallas. These programs, which often include music, feature the movers and shakers of the classical music world in a rare intimate atmosphere. Accompanying the interesting talk is a delicious spread of hors d'oeuvres and wine.
An intimate Gala dinner with private recital is held each spring to support the DSO's Performance Preludes lecture series.
