Osteoporosis and low bone mass affects more than 2.7 million Texans. That is the equivalent of one in two women and up to one in four men over age 50 breaking a bone due to the Osteoporosis in their remaining lifetime. The National Osteoporosis Foundation is celebrating its 25th year as the nation's leading voluntary health organization solely dedicated to Osteoporosis and bone health. Because Osteoporosis is a preventable and treatable disease, support of the NOF's programs of awareness, advocacy, education and research is critical.
