Oil painter Craig Gould is a painter of 21st century Americana: American sports, American landscapes, American motorcycles. It's impossible to view Craig's sports art and not be stirred by the emotion of the game. In each work Craig attempts to capture a split second image of a purely kinetic moment or tap the mental state of the athlete. In these scenes we are able to reflect on the power, passion, grace and brutality of sport. It's the game from the perspective of the athlete.
