Fort Worth Weavers Guild
Organized in 1955, the Fort Worth Weavers Guild promotes interest in handweaving and encourages members to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Anyone interested in weaving is welcome to join! We are affiliated with the Contemporary Handweavers of Texas and the Handweavers Guild of America.
Our membership includes beginning and experienced weavers, and we offer a mentoring program for for all new members to the guild.
We participate in gallery events and have a biennial exhibition at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. We are also active in community outreach with weaving and spinning demonstrations throughout the year. We generally have two workshops a year with nationally recognized fiber artists.
The Fort Worth Weavers Guild meets monthly from September through May and publishs a monthly newsletter, the Heddle Herald.
