The Point - Center for Arts and Education
The Point - Center for Arts and Education is located on the campus of C.C. Young. It is a brand new, free-standing facility designed for a higher level of arts and education.
We are one of a very few retirement communities in the region with its own free-standing facility for art and education. The Point at C.C. Young: our new Center for Arts & Education.
Now more than ever, our residents and people from the Dallas community come together to explore new ideas and have fun.
SeniorNet teaches its computer training classes in our brand-new computer lab. Fiber Artists of Dallas teach handweaving here. Eastfield College presents a continuing education series in our sparkling, 20,000 square foot center. Paul Landefeld of the International Suzuki Association leads music appreciation sessions.
People take art classes, discuss mind-blowing books, learn mind-fitness techniques, and man the controls of our 21st Century broadcast studio (Channel 45 + 10, sending an inspiring array of courses and religious services right to the televisions of our residents). They take Tai-Chi, yoga, chair exercise and dance & movement classes.
Our focal point for residents and neighbors fulfills our goal of a seamless society of all ages, dedicated to learning, creativity and caring.
Every month, the gifted musicians of the International Suzuki Association perform for us. Check out this month's calendar of events.
