Dallas Uptown Youth Orchestra

The mission of the Dallas Uptown Youth Orchestra is to educate young musicians by providing a unique opportunity for those in the Dallas and surrounding areas; to develop and showcase their talents and gifts in music, moving towards professional levels, specifically targeting under-resourced students. The Orchestra is now offering students ages 6 - 18, both beginning and advanced, a program that includes music history, music theory, group lessons, private lessons, and an orchestral experience which educates under-served youth and breaks barriers where music is not included in public or private schools.

At the Dallas Uptown Youth Orchestra students will develop skills and discipline that can take them to any youth orchestra in the country. They will also be prepared to vie for music scholarships to attend college.

Admission

This program is free for Dallas ISD students.
Other cases are based on financial need.
