SceneShop
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, SceneShop is a showcase for short dramatic works - scenes, monologues, excerpts from larger works - written by local and regional writers. Since 1996, the Shop has presented over 200 new works, performed by a core of regulars and featuring guest turns by some of the area's most gifted performers. With a focus on simple staging and casual ambience, SceneShop has earned consistently positive reviews and a loyal following. Each edition promises a variety of works - comic, serious, thoughtful, sometimes silly - that comprise an intimate, memorable evening of theatre.
SceneShop currrently produces a new edition each August, an irreverent holiday-themed show each December, and has performed in festivals such as Out of the Loop, FronteraFest and 2016's inaugural Fort Worth Fringe Festival. Additionally, SceneShop performs each September as one evening's entertainment at the Langdon Review Festival in Granbury, produced by the Langdon Center for the Arts and Tarleton State University.
